    Relief Assignments

    • Acting Company Officers are not normally required to relieve at another fire station as a Firefighter unless their truck has been removed from service or they are assigned to an Air-Light.

    Limitations on Relief Assignments

    • Personnel may be sent relieving to another fire station no more than twice in one shift before having the option to decline a third relief assignment.
    • A pre-shift scheduled relief assignment to another fire station shall be considered one move.

    Probationary Firefighters

    • Probationary firefighters will be placed into the normal relief rotation upon completion of their Toronto Fire Services, Probationary Firefighter Assessment Period Book 3.
    • They will relieve only in their currently assigned district until the completion of their probationary period.
