Signs that a child may have weak fine motor skills include outright refusal to participate in an activity, avoidance techniques, anger outbursts, sadness, and defeatist behavior.

Children should be developing fine motor skills such as picking up objects using oversized tongs and tweezers, activating and playing with wind-up toys, and spinning small hand-held tops.
