- Disease prevention, or health protection, is defined as behavior motivated by the avoidance of illness, early detection, or maintaining one's health within the confines of an illness.
- Nurses focus on holistic care, viewing individuals as complete beings rather than a collection of parts. They consider the individual's relationship with the physical environment and others.
