Factors Affecting Human Action
- Human action can be reduced or become ordinary due to factors that affect it.
- There are five factors that affect human action: ignorance, intense emotions, fear, violence, and habits.
Ignorance (Kamangmangan)
- Refers to the lack or deficiency of knowledge that a person should have.
- Has two types: vincible (nadaraig) - lack of knowledge that can be overcome with effort, and invincible (hindi nadaraig) - lack of knowledge that is due to certain limitations or impossibility.
Intense Emotions (Masidhing Damdamin)
- Refers to the dictation of bodily appetites, tendencies, or emotions.
- Has strong sense appetite that drives one to achieve its goal.
- Examples include love, hatred, joy, sorrow, desire, fear, disgust, and anger.
Other Factors
- Fear (Takot) - a factor that affects human action.
- Violence (Karahasan) - a factor that affects human action.
- Habits (Gawi) - a factor that affects human action.
