- Located on the Giza plateau outside Cairo, Egypt
- Built 4,500 years ago

The Three Great Pyramids
- Named Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure
- Pyramid of Khufu (also called Cheops) is 481 feet high
- Pyramid of Khafre is 448 feet high
- Pyramid of Menkaure is 218 feet high
- Located on the west side of the Nile River
- Built from millions of blocks of limestone from quarries in the Giza Plateau
- Built by Egyptian workers using copper chisels and saws
