Exploring India's Constitution

A constitution is the set of principles and rules by which a country is organized. It determines the relationship between the people and the government.

The other functions of a constitution are: providing a set of basic rules for people to live together, specifying how the government will be constituted and who will have the power to make decisions, and expressing the aspirations of the people to create an ideal society.

The Constitution of India was adopted on January 26, 1950.
