Examination Instructions
- Exam duration: Two (2) hours
- Paper format: Three (3) sections
- All sections are compulsory
- Students must write their student number on the answer book
- Answer section A (Multiple Choice Questions): 30% of the exam
- Answer section B (Short Notes Questions): 30% of the exam
- Answer one question in section C (Long Answer Question): 40% of the exam
- Students may answer in either English or Welsh
- Students may only complete the front cover of the answer book and the attendance slip at first.
- Do not turn the examination paper to the next page without instruction.
Section A – Multiple Choice Questions
- 30 multiple choice questions (MCQs)
- Each MCQ is worth one mark
- Incorrect or no answers are marked as zero (0)
- Circle the correct answer (a, b, c, or d) on the question paper
- Suggested time allocation: No more than 30 minutes
Section B – Short Notes Questions
- Answer three (3) short note questions
- Each question is worth 10%
- One question must be from Part 1 (Social Psychology)
- One question must be from Part 2 (Personality)
- The third question can be from either Part 1 or Part 2
- Do not answer more than two questions from the same section
- Suggested time allocation: No more than 30 minutes
Section C – Long Answer Question
- Answer one (1) long answer question
- The question is worth 40% of the examination mark
- Suggested time allocation: No more than 60 minutes
- Write an essay on the extent to which personality and social psychology can help to understand aggressive behaviour
- Support arguments with examples from theories and research from both social psychology and personality psychology.
