Evangelism is the act of preaching the gospel to share the message and teachings of Jesus Christ.
It is a serious business assigned to believers by the Master, and it must be consciously, consistently, and conscientiously done.

The preaching of the gospel to the lost is important to Jesus, who was specifically anointed by His Father for it (Luke 4:18).
Jesus reiterated the importance of preaching the kingdom of God in Luke 4:43, saying it was why He was sent.
God is not willing that anyone should perish, and Jesus came to save the lost (Matthew 18:14, 11).
The value of a soul is so much that there is rejoicing in Heaven when one soul repents (Luke 15:7).

Preaching the gospel to the lost is a serious occupation handed to Jesus' followers in Mark 16:15.
It requires zeal, divine wisdom, and strategic thinking (John 4:34, Ecclesiastes 10:10).
It is an all-time trade that requires focus, sacrifice, and perseverance (Luke 9:60, 2 Timothy 4:2).
The goal of evangelism is to make Jesus known and win souls for Him (1 Corinthians 2:2, Romans 1:14-15).
Evangelism must be done sacrificially, with prayer, and with Jesus as the sole message (Galatians 2:20, 1 Corinthians 11:1, Colossians 1:27-28).
