- Take good care not to damage or lose it
- Cover the book with protective material (plastic, old newspapers or magazines)
- Keep the book in a clean dry and safe place
- Keep your hands clean while using the book
- Do not write on the cover or inside pages Using a paper or cardboard as bookmarks is recommended
- Never tear or cut out any pictures or pages
- Repair any torn pages
- Pack the book carefully when placing it in your bag
- Handle the book with care when giving it to another person
- When using the book lay it on its back and open only a few pages
- Press lightly along the bound edge when turning pages to preserve the cover condition
