Past Simple of Regular Verbs
- Forming the past simple of regular verbs:
- Add -ed to the base form of the verb (e.g. walk -> walked)
- If the verb ends in -e, add -d (e.g. love -> loved)
- If the verb ends in a consonant + y, change the y to -i and add -ed (e.g. try -> tried)
- Examples:
