Receiving Instructions
- Engine Service Employees report to and receive instructions from the Superintendent or other designated officer
- These employees must adhere to current mechanical, electrical, and air brake instructions related to the safety, inspection, preparation, and operation of trains and engines
Executing Instructions
- Engine Service Employees must follow instructions from Transportation Supervisors, Dispatchers, Operators, Yardmasters, and Station Masters within their jurisdiction
- They should also obey instructions from the Conductor regarding the train's general management
- Exceptions to instructions are allowed only if following them would endanger safety or violate rules
Qualification and Inspection Forms
