Defibrillator (AED)
- Follow the automated instructions.
- Use for any cardiac emergencies.
- Use for any patient at risk from cardiac interruptions.
Adrenaline
- Used for anaphylaxis.
- Dosage for adults: 500mg/0.5ml of 1:1000 concentration via injection.
- Dosage for children (6-12 years): 300mg/0.30ml via injection.
- Dosage for children (under 6 years): 150mg/0.15ml via injection.
- May be repeated at 5-minute intervals after adequate response.
Glyceryl Trinitrate (GTN) Spray
- Dosage: 400-800mcgs as a sublingual spray.
- Administered in 2 actuations sublingually.
- Used for angina or suspected heart attack.
- Actuations may be repeated.
Salbutamol (Bronchodilator)
- Dosage: 100mg via inhalation.
- Administered in 2 actuations, inhaled.
- A spacer can be used.
- Used for asthma.
- Actuations may be repeated.
- If not responding, use nebulizer solution and oxygen.
Dispersible Aspirin
- Dosage: 300mg orally.
- Used for suspected cardiac conditions.
- Chewable.
- Check for allergies.
