Elijah's Encounter with God

Elijah said that the people of Israel have forsaken God's covenant, thrown down His altars, and killed His prophets with the sword, leaving him the only one left, and they sought to take his life.
God passed by Elijah, but God was not in the strong wind that tore the mountains, nor in the earthquake, nor in the fire that followed.
After the fire, Elijah heard a low whisper, and God spoke to him, asking what he was doing there.

God's Instructions to Elijah

God instructed Elijah to anoint Hazael as king over Syria, Jehu as king over Israel, and Elisha as prophet in his place.
