5 Questions
Deformazioni trascurabili, materiali elastici, omogenei e isotropi, e nessuna forza inerziale
Study Notes
- In some cases, elastic problems can be reduced from 3 dimensions to 2.
- This occurs for axially symmetric solids loaded axially symmetrically or uniformly along the generators.
- Tensione piana is the case where all stress components are only on the plane, and the constitutive relationship provides only the strains in the plane.
- Deformazione piana is the case where there are no deformations along the z-axis.
- The tension and strain equations for the two cases are formally identical, but E and v are replaced by different values in the case of deformazione piana.
- The material behaves more rigidly in the case of deformazione piana.
- There is a greater lateral contraction in the case of deformazione piana.
- The state of stress in the plane is independent of E and v, under certain assumptions.
- These assumptions include small deformations, elastic, homogeneous and isotropic materials, and no inertial forces.
- The boundary conditions can be either on the stresses or the forces.
