EIS Displays
- All EIS displays are initially off
- Displays require AC power to operate
- APU or ground electrical supply required for operation
- Ground electrical supply will be connected
ECAM Screens
- ECAM screens are switched on in the order upper, then lower, for training
- Screens can be switched in opposite order for training purposes.
- Lower ECAM display is switched on first
- E/WD information is prioritized and displayed on lower ECAM screen if only one screen is available
- Upper ECAM display is switched on next
E/WD Information
- E/WD information is displayed on the lower ECAM screen
- Information has priority over other ECAM screens
- If only one ECAM screen is available, E/WD information is displayed
- E/WD displays information related to doors and oxygen system
APU Start
- The APU will start
- APU MASTER SW is turned on, the APU ECAM page appears automatically
- START SW is turned on, the APU begins its automatic start cycle
- No light on ECAM APU pb because the APU page is called automatically
Refueling
- MEMO area on the E/WD will show that refueling is taking place
ECAM DOOR/OXY Page
- The DOOR/OXY page is displayed on the lower ECAM screen if the doors are open
Pre-flight Checks
- Fluid levels, such as hydraulic fluid and engine oil, are checked
- Relevant system pages are manually called up on ECAM Control panel

Engine Start
- ECAM ENGINE page is automatically displayed during engine start
- System will automatically display the ECAM ENG page while the engines are being started
Aircraft Ready for Takeoff
- At approximately 2 minutes after the second engine starts, a Takeoff memo appears on the E/WD
- The T.O memo has a list of actions for the pilot to follow
- The auto brakes are set to MAX for the pilot
Take-off Configuration
- The Auto Brakes have been armed to MAX
- The Takeoff Configuration is tested by pressing the T.O. CONFIG key
Take-off Threshold
- The aircraft is at the threshold about to take off
- Engines are set to takeoff thrust
- The ECAM ENGINE page is automatically displayed
Airborne
- The aircraft is now airborne
- After passing 1500 feet, the T.O. INHIBIT memo is removed
- The ECAM ENGINE page is automatically replaced by the CRUISE page when the flaps are fully retracted

- System pages are periodically reviewed in cruise

- ECAM BLEED page is called next

Landing
- The aircraft is lined up on final approach
- On passing 1500 feet, a Landing Memo is displayed on the E/WD
- When the aircraft passes 2000 feet, the landing memo appears
Landing Inhibitive Message
- The LDG INHIBIT memo appears at about 800 feet
- This memo shows that warnings and cautions are inhibited during the landing phase
- Blue action lines are no longer outstanding
Engine Shutdown
- At engine shutdown the ECAM DOOR/OXY page is automatically recalled.
- The pulsing STS message on the E/WD indicates a maintenance message on the STATUS page
Maintenance
- There is maintenance related information on the STATUS page
- STATUS page must be cleared
- The aircraft is no longer considered unserviceable
Landing Gear
- Once landing gear is extended the WHEEL page is automatically displayed, providing brake temperatures and spoiler deployment information
Final Approach
- The aircraft is lined up for final approach
