  • Projects that may pose significant negative environmental impact at certain thresholds of operation, regardless of location.
  • Updates of technical descriptions of ECPs are vested in the DENR-EMB, in coordination with the DTI.

Environmentally Critical Area (ECA)

  • A general area declared as environmentally sensitive, where significant environmental impacts are expected if certain types of projects are located, developed, or implemented.
