Early Converts to Islam
- Abu Dhar, a tribesman from Banu Ghifar, sent his brother to Makkah to learn about the Prophet's character, but was not satisfied with his brother's account, leading him to travel to Makkah himself.
- Abu Dhar met the Prophet with the help of Ali and became a Muslim after hearing the Prophet's message.
- He publicly announced his conversion at the Ka'bah, which led to the Quraysh beating him, and was only saved by Abbas, the Prophet's uncle.
Tufayl bin Amr Dausi
- Tufayl, a prominent poet and chieftain of the Daus tribe, visited Makkah 11 years after the Prophet began his mission, and was warned by the Quraysh about the Prophet's "bewitching words".
- Despite his initial skepticism, Tufayl was impressed by the Prophet's recitation and decided to listen to his message, eventually becoming a Muslim.
- The Prophet prayed for a sign to help Tufayl convince his people to accept Islam, and when Tufayl returned to his people, his face was radiant, leading to the conversion of his father, wife, and eventually 70-80 families.
