Manipulation

• A figure Winston recognizes from The Leadership Council, The Enlightener, greets Winston and discusses the flaws in his work at Historial Correct as well as his extra curricular activities.
• When challenged that their acts are in fact "True", The Enlightener responds "what does that word even mean?"
• The Enlightener further dismisses Winston as not required to be in fear as they claim to have contained everyone under surveillance who partook in the broadcast.
• To add insult to injury The Enlightener confirms Julia is in custody and will receive apporiate care as well, and confirms O'Brien (code-name Goldstein) will has a special role in Winston's process, indicating he will see him soon.
• The screen cycle through dangerous information, while a soothing voice encourages commitment to progress and equity.

Indoctrination

• Everyone is part of The Collective, playing different roles but still aligning with the group.
• There has been no real threat, the threats are studied and reintegrated.
• "When you were a child, before the Reset, did you learn that there were two genders or many?"
• Mathematically, engineers still use traditional mathematics - however in truth it has been revised to meet empathetic needs.
• O'Brien insists insists that engineering works if mathematical truths are variable
• The "rehabilitation" will introduce Winston to a new identify.
• As the transition begins O'Brien reassures Winston. He claims Winston requires gender affirimation - in this moment, the story ends.
