Understanding a Whole Person:
- Whole person development refers to the holistic development of a person's actions and behaviors.
- Whole person emphasizes a person's complete aspects or totality
- To understand the perception of a person as a whole organism, philosophical theories such as Dualism and Holism will be discussed.

- Spiritual: the attribute of a person's consciousness and beliefs, including the values and virtues that guide and put meaning into a person's life
Five Core Values:
- Integrity: the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles and uprightness
- Accountability: the fact or condition of being responsible
- Discipline: the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience
- Diligence: carefulness and persistent effort or work
- Perseverance: persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success
Ten Basic Human Values:
- Shalom H. Schwartz is associated with the basic human values
- Self-Direction: independent thought and action; choosing, creating, and exploring
- Stimulation: excitement, novelty, and challenge in life
- Hedonism: pleasure and sensuous gratification for oneself
- Achievement: personal success through demonstrating competence according to social standards
- Power: social status and prestige, and control or dominance over people and resources
- Security: safety, harmony, and stability of society, of relationships, and of self
