Measuring and Marking Tools

- Steel rule: Used for measuring and setting the marking gauge, be careful of sharp edges
Cutting Tools
- Tenon saw: Cuts straight lines in wood, handles with care due to sharp teeth
- Bevel edge chisel: Removes waste material difficult for a saw to reach, like mortise joints and recesses
- Coping saw: Cuts curved lines with a thin blade
Shaping and Braiding Tools
