- Can occur at any age, but most common between 20-50 years old
- Electric shock sensation (Lhermitte's sign) is a clinical manifestation of multiple sclerosis
Diabetes Mellitus
- Insulin is a hormone that helps blood sugar enter cells in the body
- Produced by beta cells in the pancreas
- Type 1 DM is Genetic or Juvenile in nature
- Chronic condition where the pancreas produces too little insulin or cells stop responding to insulin
