  • The inverter uses a large power initially to quickly cool the room during operation
  • Then the unit automatically switches to a lower power setting for comfortable and economic operation
  • A wireless remote control unit allows for convenient control of the air conditioner
  • Automatic vertical swing adjusts the supply air
  • The flap automatically moves in an upward and a downward direction to evenly spread the conditioned air throughout the room

Precautions

  • Cautions: - Provide occasional ventilation during use - Do not direct airflow at fireplaces or heating apparatuses - Do not climb on or place objects on the air conditioner - Do not hang objects from the indoor unit - Do not set flower vases or water containers on top of the air conditioner - Do not expose the air conditioner directly to water - Do not operate the air condition with wet hands - Do not pull the power supply cord - Turn off the power source when not using the unit for extended periods of time - Check the condition of the installation stand for damage - Do not place animals or plants in the direct path of the airflow - Do not drink the water drained from the air conditioner - Do not use in applications involving the storage of foods, plants or animals, precision equipment or art works - Be careful, connection valves become hot during heating - Do not apply heavy pressure to radiator fins - Only operate the unit with air filters installed - Do not block or cover the intake grille and outlet port - Ensure that any electronic equipment is at least one meter away from either the indoor or outdoor units - Avoid installing the air conditioner near a fireplace or other heating apparatus - When installing the indoor and outdoor units, take precautions to prevent access to infants - Do not use inflammable gasses near the air conditioner

Operation Tips

  • A suitable room temperature should be set, excessively low rooms temperatures are bad for health and waste electricity
  • The frequent adjustment of the temperature should be avoided
  • Avoid direct sun during cooling, keep curtains and blinds closed, close doors and windows to keep cool air inside
  • Generating heat or using heating appliances while the air conditioner is in cooling mode should be avoided
  • Air flap should e positioned for horizontal flow when cooing, and downward vertical flow for heating
  • Room temperature should be kept uniform by adjusting the left/right vertical air blades
  • Position the air flaps to prevent your body from being exposed to direct drafts
  • During prolonged operation, ventilate the room occasionally by opening a window
  • During a power failure the microprocessor retains memory
  • When restarted after power failure, operation will resume to the lat mode
  • if the timer was used, the unit will be turned off by the timer, if not, timer data may be erased
  • After turning the unit on, allow more than three minutes for cooling, heating, and dry operation to start
  • When useing DRY mode, the room temperature should be between 20°C and 27°C, if used out of this range the unit may protect itself
  • When using COOL or DRY modes, make sure that the rooms relative humidity is blow 78%, high humidity may for moisture
  • Remote control signals may not be received if the indoor units cover is exposed to direct sunlight or strong lighting
  • The remote control is only operative in a range of eight meters

Protection Modes

  • Several automatic protection modes enable operation virtually at any time, regardless of temperature
  • In COOL and DRY modes:
    • When the outdoor temperature is too low, it protects from the indoor coil freezing up by stopping the outdoor fan and compressor, resuming when appropriate
    • When the outdoor temperature is too high, it protects from the outdoor coil overheating, then stopping the compressor when appropraching over heating, resuming when appropriate
  • In HEATING mode:
    • When the outdoor temperature is loo low, it protects from outdoor coil ice build up by reversing operation from heating to cooling, indicator will blink
    • Where there is high indoor or outdoor temperature mode, protects from outdoor coil overheating, the outdoor fan and compressor stop, then it automatically resumes Note: When switching the unit to OFF after heating, the unit may perform outdoor coil deicing operation, that may make the compressor still run

Care and Maintenance

  • Before performing any maintenance procedure, make sure to disconnect the air conditioner from the power
  • To clean the air filter:
    • Lift the panel, push the air filters up slightly to unlock them
    • Pull out the filters and clean in warm soapy water, dry thoroughly, align and put back in place
    • Do not operate the unit without filters
  • To replace the purification filter, this shouold occur once a year
    1. Pulling out the filter
    2. Replacing the filter in its place
    • Note: This procedure is also used for active carbon filters
  • To clean the air conditioner
    • Wipe the unit with a soft dry cloth or lean with a vacuum cleaner, do not use hot water
  • At the start of the season:
    • Make sure there are no obstacles blocking the flow of air
    • Make sure the power is properly connected
  • To protect the electronic system:
  • Indoor unit and remote should stay a least 1 meter a way from other electronic appliances
    • Protect the unit from lighting and direct sun

Troubleshooting

  • If the unit doesn't operate and the indicator doesn't light up:
    • The unit might not be connected to power, or there is a power failure
    • Attempt to plug in the power cord, and check the main fuse
  • If a unit doesn't operate but indicator lights are on:
    • There could be remote control malfunctions
    • Check the remote control batteries and try operating from a closer distance
  • If a unit does not respond properly to the remote control command:
    • The remote could be locked
    • The IR signal may not reach the unit
    • Distance could be too large or at an improper angle
    • Unlock the remote, clear obstructions, and try again, or dim lighting
  • If air does not blow from the indoor unit:
    • De-icing is activated, use AUTO fan mode, or there is overcooling in DRY mode
  • If cooling, dry, or heating does not start immediately:
    • The compressor has a 3-min delayed start
  • If a unit functions but does not perform sufficiently:
    • Set the temperature more appropiatly
    • Consult a dealer if the unit capacity is insufficient

Exception for Multi Split types units

  • Could happen that a requested operation cannot be completed
  • The reason for this is that the system is operating in a different mode
  • Indoor unit operation modes dependent on system mode:
    • Cooling active mode
      • Cooling unit operation is enabled, and Heating, and Dry operations are disabled
      • Auto Cool/Heat will only cool, and ventilation is enabled
    • Heating active mode
      • Heating unit operation is enabled, and Cooling, and Dry operations are disabled
      • Auto Cool/Heat will only heat, and ventilation is enabled
