AI and National Security: China vs United States

China considers AI to be a "historic opportunity" for leapfrogging development of national security technology;

They believe that AI will enable China to surpass America in many areas, including fintech;

The continued success of Pax Americana depends on America's ability to maintain its technological lead over China.

China is spending more on AI than the United States, and they're ahead in many areas.

China is already winning many wargames against the United States.

China is using social media to manipulate and discredit the United States.

China is willing to use AI for government purposes.

The US is falling behind in AI, and this is causing us to lose our military lead.

We need to change our trajectory on AI for defense, and one of the ways to do this is to increase our pace and invest in data infrastructure.

Data supremacy is an absolute requirement for the AI war, and we need to have a 10-year plan to shift 25% of the DoD budget towards AI-enabled capabilities by 2032.

If we can successfully turn our platform advantage into a data advantage through an investment into data infrastructure and data preparation, we can get ahead and stay ahead.
