- Criminal Intent: The state of mind of a person committing a crime at the time of an action.
Cyberstalking
- Cyberstalking: Engaging in a course of conduct to communicate, or causing to be communicated, directly or indirectly, words, images, or language by or through electronic mail or electronic communication, directed at or pertaining to a specific person.
- Cyberstalking: Accessing, or attempting to access, the online accounts or Internet-connected home electronic systems of another person without that person's permission, causing substantial emotional distress to that person and serving no legitimate purpose.
Dating Violence
- Dating Violence: Violence between individuals who have, or have had a continuing and significant relationship of a romantic or intimate nature.
- Dating Relationship: Must have existed within the past six months, characterized by the expectation of affection or sexual involvement, and frequent and continuous interaction over time.
Domestic Violence
- Domestic Violence: Any assault, aggravated assault, battery, aggravated battery, sexual assault, sexual battery, stalking, aggravated stalking, kidnapping, false imprisonment, or any criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death of one family or household member by another family or household member.
- Family/Household Member: Spouses, former spouses, persons related by blood or marriage, persons who are presently residing together, or have resided together in the past, and persons who are parents of a child in common.

- Domestic Violence Injunction: A judicial order that directs the respondent to do a specific act and/or prohibits respondent from doing other acts, with the primary objective of preventing further injury.
