Study Notes

  • The Forest Pack plugin from I2 Software will be used to create grass and place leaves on the ground to add detail
  • Create the forest pack on the ground model
  • Open the library within settings and choose a preset
  • To fix grass sticking out of the surface when using large presets, in the Areas rollout select the Edge option of the boundary checking

Adjusting Leaves

  • Create a spline on the edge of the road
  • Add a forest pack object to the road surface to find leaves in the library
  • Keep leaves close to road edges by turning off the surface area and adding a shape area thickness
  • Adjust leaf size with the thickness setting, and density in the distribution rollout
  • Create space by adding an empty element
  • To reduce leaves, decrease the probability of leaves geometry
  • Enable clusters to separate leaves and empty spaces, and adjust the values
  • Use a curve editor to control how far leaves are from the edges
  • The geometry rollout can be used to play with probability
  • Copy the forest object to add leaves to the pavement after getting the desired result
  • Replace the surface and shape in the area rollout

Adding Plants

  • Plants will be added to the site
  • Models have been prepared from the 3D MK store
  • Assets need to be found and merged into the scene
  • The models will be placed manually for better control
  • Use as many different models as possible to add variation.
  • Final touches will be made once the plans are complete before final rendering
