- The Forest Pack plugin from I2 Software will be used to create grass and place leaves on the ground to add detail
- Create the forest pack on the ground model
- Open the library within settings and choose a preset
- To fix grass sticking out of the surface when using large presets, in the Areas rollout select the Edge option of the boundary checking
Adjusting Leaves
- Create a spline on the edge of the road
- Add a forest pack object to the road surface to find leaves in the library
- Keep leaves close to road edges by turning off the surface area and adding a shape area thickness
- Adjust leaf size with the thickness setting, and density in the distribution rollout
- Create space by adding an empty element
- To reduce leaves, decrease the probability of leaves geometry
- Enable clusters to separate leaves and empty spaces, and adjust the values
- Use a curve editor to control how far leaves are from the edges
- The geometry rollout can be used to play with probability
- Copy the forest object to add leaves to the pavement after getting the desired result
