Magellan's Expedition
- Antonio Pigafetta, an Italian nobleman, accompanied Ferdinand Magellan on his circumnavigation of the world.

Site of the 1st Catholic Mass
- Pigafetta's account and Albo's log state that the 1st Mass took place in Limasawa Island, Leyte.
- They stayed in Limasawa for 7 days (March 28, 1521 - April 4, 1521) before going to Zubu (Cebu).
- Albo's log supports Pigafetta's claim, mentioning Magellan erecting a cross at the top of a mountain, which fits Limasawa's description.
