Functions of Art

• Social Functions: Art associates with fellow beings, evidenced by choral singing and group dancing in religious rites and other practices.
• Economic Functions: Many people believe that art does not pay, but exceptions like Joanne K. Rowling, author of Harry Potter, prove otherwise.
• Political Functions: Art reinforces and enhances a sense of identity and ideological connection to specific political views, parties, and/or people.
