Containers Excellent Class
- Search area size: Minimum 55 square metres, maximum 75 square metres.
- Container count: Between 20 and 30 containers, which can be identical or of varied sizes and types.
- Container arrangement: Options include rows, “U” formation, circles, patterns, or random layouts.
- Hides: Three containers must contain a hide each for the dog to locate.
- Distractions: Two distractions allowed, which can be either non-food or food items.
- Time limit: Dogs must locate hides and communicate finds to handlers within 3 to 4 minutes, as determined by the Judge.
Containers Master Class
- Search area size: Same as Excellent Class, between 55 square metres and 75 square metres.
- Container count: Between 25 and 35 containers, which can also be identical or varied in size and type.
- Container arrangement: Similar options as Excellent Class – rows, “U” formation, circles, patterns, or random placements.
- Hides: One to three containers may contain the hides.
- Distractions: Three distractions permitted, which can include non-food, food, mimic distractions, or human distractions.
- Time limit: Dogs must communicate their findings to handlers within a 3 to 4-minute timeframe, as set by the Judge.
