The construction industry is one of the most dangerous sectors.

The ILO estimates the number of fatal occupational accidents in the construction industry at about 60,000 every year.

Every construction project shall have a suitable Construction Safety and Health Program.

The Construction Safety and Health Program shall state the composition of the Construction Safety and Health Committee, specific safety policies, penalties and sanctions for violations, frequency of orienting, instructing and training all workers, and the manner of disposing waste arising from the construction.
