Conjunctions
- A conjunction is a word used to connect words, clauses, or sentences
- There are two main types of conjunctions: coordinating and subordinating
- Coordinating conjunctions join clauses of equal rank
- Examples: and, but, still, only, yet, or, nor, else, for, either...or, neither...nor
- Subordinating conjunctions join a clause to another clause on which it depends for its full meaning
- Examples: though, although, till, before, unless, as, after, because, if, that, since, so that, wherever, so, as well as, as soon as, if, even if
