Group room sales: majority of room revenue, important for hotel yield; understanding group booking trends and requirements is crucial for success.
- Collecting group profile information: group booking pace, anticipated group business, group booking lead time, displacement of transient business.
Transient or FIT room sales: rooms sold to free individual travelers; booked closer to the date of arrival than group business.
