Computer and Technology Terms
- Access: to find information, especially on a computer
- Blog: a regularly updated personal website or web page, usually written in an informal style
- Calculation: a way of using numbers to find out an amount, price, or value
- Computer chip: a small piece inside a computer that stores information via an electric current
- Email exchange: a series of emails between two or more people, each email generally a reply to the previous one
- Filter: a program that checks whether certain content on a web page should be displayed to the viewer
- Floppy disk: a flexible, removable magnetic disk that stores computer information
- ICT: Information and Communication Technology
- Identity fraud: illegal actions using the identity of someone else, normally to buy things
- PC: an abbreviation for personal computer, a computer that is used by one person at a time
- Post: to put a message or document on the Internet so that other people can see it
- Privacy settings: controls available on social networking sites that let you decide who can see what information
- Rely on: to have trust or confidence in something or someone
- Sat nav system: a satellite navigation system that tells you where something is, where you are, or how to get to a place
- Security settings: controls available on computer programs that let you protect your computer from viruses
- Smartphone: a mobile phone with advanced computing technology
- Social media: social interaction between people and communities on websites or blogs
- Tablet computer: a mobile computer with a touch screen, processor, and battery all in one unit
- User: a person who uses a product or service, especially a computer or another machine
- Web-building program: a software that helps you create a website
- Web hosting: the business of housing, serving, and maintaining files for one or more websites
- Whiteboard: a touchscreen computer program that enables you to draw sketches, write, and present ideas and talks to colleagues or students
- World Wide Web: an information system known as the Internet, which allows documents to be connected to other documents, and for people to search for information by moving from one document to another

- Commitment: a promise to do something or to behave in a particular way
- Complementary medicine: medical treatment that provides an alternative to scientific medicine
