Computer case = The metal and plastic box that contains the main components of the computer Monitor = Displays the user interface and open programs, allowing the user to interact with the computer Keyboard = An input device that allows a user to enter letters, numbers, and other symbols into a computer Mouse = A pointing device that allows a user to navigate a computer's GUI

Desktop case = Lies flat on a desk, and the monitor usually sits on top of it Tower case = Tall and sits next to the monitor or on the floor All-in-one = Comes with the internal components built into the monitor, which eliminates the need for a separate case

Motherboard = Main circuit board of the computer CPU = Performs most of the processing inside the computer Power supply = Converts the power from the wall outlet into a form that the computer components can use
