Community Health Nursing (CHN) is a combination of nursing practice and public health practice, focusing on promoting and preserving the health of communities.
CHN is broad in scope and not limited to specific age groups or diagnoses.
It is continuous rather than episodic, prioritizing the health of the entire population.
Individuals, families, and groups all contribute to the overall health of the community.
CHN utilizes various approaches, including health promotion, health maintenance, health education, and coordinated care, to address the needs of individuals, families, groups, and the community.
It emphasizes comprehensive health planning and considers the influence of social and ecological factors on health.
CHN focuses on populations at risk and utilizes dynamic forces to promote change.

Philosophy of Individual’s Right of being Healthy:
- Health is a basic human right, both nationally and internationally, as outlined in the World Health Organization (WHO) Charter.
- The goal of "Health for All" is based on the belief that everyone deserves access to health.
- This philosophy encompasses all aspects of society, including socio-cultural and economic factors, to ensure no barriers impede people from achieving their health rights.
Philosophy of Working Together Under a Competent Leader for the Common Good:
- Humans have historically learned to live together to meet their needs.
- Community health nursing emphasizes shared responsibility for helping one another.
- People collaborate with community groups and leaders to promote mutual benefit, behavioral change, and improved health practices.
- Democratic teamwork is a key component, with everyone participating for the collective good.
