- Communication is a systemic process involving interrelated parts that affect each other, like family communication

Elements of Communication
- Sender: The encoder, source of information, ideas, emotions, or feelings, chooses symbols like words, pictures, and non-verbal cues to convey messages. Determines the communication goal
- Receiver: Target of communication, the person for whom the message is intended and the person whose understanding realizes the communication goals
- Message: The heart of communication, conveying translated ideas, feelings, attitudes, or emotions as signals or symbols. Classified into verbal and non-verbal forms
- Channel: The medium through which the message is sent from sender to receiver, examples include spoken language, written text, visual aids, or electronic signals
Noise
- Noise: Anything that interferes with the transmission of the message, preventing it from being properly received and understood
