Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

• Provides virtualized computing resources (servers, storage, networks)
• Users manage and configure resources

Platform as a Service (PaaS)

• Provides a complete development and deployment environment
• Users manage applications and data
• Examples: Heroku, Google App Engine, Azure App Service

Software as a Service (SaaS)

• Provides software applications over the internet
• Users manage user data
• Examples: Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace

Deployment Models

Public Cloud

• Resources are provided over the internet
• Open to the general public
• Examples: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform

Private Cloud

• Resources are provided within an organization
• Not open to the general public
• Examples: VMware vCloud, OpenStack

Hybrid Cloud

• Combines public and private cloud resources
• Allows for scalability and flexibility
• Examples: AWS Outposts, Azure Stack

Community Cloud

• Resources are shared among multiple organizations
• Supports a specific community or industry
• Examples: Google Cloud Platform for Education, Microsoft Azure for Research

• Examples include AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform

Private Cloud

• Resources are provided within an organization, behind a firewall
• Not open to the general public, and typically used for sensitive data and applications
• Examples include VMware vCloud and OpenStack

Hybrid Cloud

• Combines public and private cloud resources to achieve scalability and flexibility
• Allows for the integration of on-premises infrastructure with public cloud services
• Examples include AWS Outposts and Azure Stack

Community Cloud

• Resources are shared among multiple organizations with a shared interest or goal
• Supports a specific community or industry, such as education or research
• Examples include Google Cloud Platform for Education and Microsoft Azure for Research
