Class 9 Hindi Medium Subjects Overview

Class 9 students studying in a Hindi medium school will learn several subjects in two main streams: Arts & Science. In both these branches of study, they will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge in many areas including English (Angrezi), Social Studies, Mathematical Sciences, Physical and Natural Sciences, Environmental Education, Health and Physical Education, Art Education, Work Experience Education, Value Education, and an optional second foreign language like French. Students will also learn more specific subjects within each stream. Here is what they can expect to cover during this academic year:

Subjects Taught in Schools with Hindi Medium

English: This subject helps children understand the structure of language which in turn allows them to improve their communication skills while enhancing creativity through reading various text types such as stories, poems, etc., along with grammatical accuracy.

Mathematics: In Math class, students focus on understanding mathematical concepts of numbers, geometry, algebra, data handling, measurement, calculation and problem solving using real life scenarios.

Science: They explore concepts related to Physics, Chemistry and Biology, learning about matter, energy, motion, light, sound, magnetism, Earth's atmosphere, plants, animals, cells, human body etc.

Hindi: Children in Grade 9 get introduced to modern literature and poetry, learning how to appreciate and analyze literary works in the Hindi language.

Civic Education: Through Civic education, students gain awareness regarding national heritage, culture, traditions, art, crafts, geographical features, natural resources, environment conservation measures, road safety, community health and hygiene, etc..

Environmental Education: As part of environmental studies curriculum, students learn about local flora and fauna, water management systems, waste disposal methods, renewable sources of energy, air pollution control mechanisms, preservation of biodiversity, etc.

In addition to these core subjects, there are elective options available too such as computer science where students learn basic programming languages like Scratch, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc. or Geography, that deals with world maps, physical features, climate patterns, weather conditions, population distribution, trade routes, tourism and travel industry aspects around the globe. Overall, Class 9 provides a strong foundation preparing students towards higher classes and further specialization.
