- Lawful Purpose: Subject matter cannot be illegal or against public policy.

- CCDC 4 - Unit Price Contract: Used when work broken down into specific units (payment based on units).
- CCDC 5A and 5B - Construction Management Contract: Establishes relationship between construction manager/owner (5A entire project) and contractor (for separate contractor construction management, 5B)
- CCDC 14 - Design-Build Stipulated Price Contract: Combines design and construction responsibilities in one entity.
