    Building Permits

    • No person, firm, corporation, government agency, or instrumentality can erect, construct, alter, repair, move, convert, or demolish a building or structure without a building permit from the Building Official.
    • The permit is required for any building work and must be obtained before starting the project.

    Application for Permits

    • To obtain a building permit, applicants must file a written application on a prescribed form from the Office of the Building Official.
    • The application must provide:
      • A description of the work to be covered by the permit
      • A certified true copy of the TCT (Transfer Certificate of Title) covering the lot where the work is to be done
      • If the applicant is not the registered owner, a copy of the contract of lease is also required
      • The intended use or occupancy of the proposed work
      • An estimated cost of the proposed work
    • At least five sets of corresponding plans and specifications must be submitted with the application, prepared, signed, and sealed by:
      • A duly registered mechanical engineer for mechanical plans
