CFETP Overview
- CFETP stands for Career Field Education and Training Plan.
- Serves as a management tool for training 1P0X1 personnel.
- Divided into two parts:
- Part 1: Management information for the 1P0X1 career field.
- Part 2: Identifies tasks, knowledge training, courses, and resources.
Specialty Training Standard (STS)
- Located in Part 2 of CFETP.
- After skill acquisition, individuals must sign off on tasks, ensuring understanding before endorsement.
Training Business Area (TBA)
- Accessible via the AF portal.
- Records training for trainees; electronic documentation is transferable across units and bases.
Skill Progression Levels
- AFE apprentice (3-level): Achieved after completing tech school.
- AFE journeyman (5-level): Attainable between the ranks of Airman and Senior Airman.
- AFE craftsman (7-level): Achieved between the ranks of Staff Sergeant and Master Sergeant.
- AFE superintendent (9-level): Must hold the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.
Career Progression and PME Requirements
- Airman Leadership School (ALS) is mandatory for Senior Airmen to be promoted to Staff Sergeant.
CCAF and Degree Requirements
- CCAF offers an Associate in Applied Science in Aircrew Safety Systems Technology.
- Requires a total of 64 semester hours, distributed as follows:
- Physical Education: 4 hours
- Technical Education: 24 hours
- Program Electives: 15 hours
- General Education: 15 hours
- Leadership, Management, and Military Studies: 6 hours
Duties of 1P0X1 Career Field
- Inspect, maintain, pack, and adjust aircrew flight equipment.
- Install and remove aircraft AFE, requiring AFTO form 46 for prepositioned AFE.
- Operate and manage maintenance of AFE machinery and test equipment.
- Perform aircrew armory roles, including weapon maintenance, issuing, and storage security, with qualifications required for arms issuance.
- Manage storage and transportation of explosives and ammunition.
- Train crew members as AFE Continuation Training Instructors (AFECTI), oversee quality assurance, and prepare operational instructions and checklists.
