Cellular Telephones Policy
- The Kansas City Missouri Police Department has a policy for the use and management of cellular telephones for official business.
- The policy applies to all department-issued cell phones/smartphones.
Requesting a Replacement Cell Phone
- Requests for replacement of lost, stolen, damaged, or inoperable cell phones must be submitted through the chain of command for approval.
- The request will be sent to the Fiscal Division for final approval before being sent to the Network Services Section.
Monitoring of Usage
- The Purchasing Section is responsible for reviewing monthly cell phone invoices and billing records for accuracy.
