Cell Duplication and Division
- The process by which a cell duplicates its DNA and divides into two daughter cells is called the cell cycle.
DNA Replication
- DNA replication occurs during the S phase (Synthesis phase) of the cell cycle.
Cytokinesis
- After the completion of mitosis in animal cells, the division of the cytoplasm is called cytokinesis.
Cell Cycle Phases
- The following are phases of the cell cycle: G1, S, G2, M (Mitosis).
- One of the options that is NOT a phase of the cell cycle is "Miosis" (note: Meiosis is a different process, not a phase of the cell cycle).
