CCS Conduct Rules

• CCS Conduct Rules came into force in 1964
• These rules apply to every person appointed to a civil service and every civilian in defense service

Sexual Harassment

• Prohibition of sexual harassment of working women is defined in Section 3-C of CCS Conduct Rules
• Sexual harassment includes unwelcome sexually determined behavior, such as physical contact, demand or request for sexual favors, sexually colored remarks, showing pornography, or any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or nonverbal conduct of a sexual nature

Joining of Associations

• Joining of Associations by Government servants is defined in Section 6 of CCS Conduct Rules

Publication of Book

• A government servant, in the bona fide discharge of his official duties, can publish a book as per Rule 8(2) of CCS Conduct Rules

Possession of Property

• Rule 18 of CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 speaks about a Government servant possessing movable, immovable, and valuable property

• Demonstration and strikes are defined in Section 7 of CCS Conduct Rules

Application of CCS Conduct Rules

• CCS Conduct rules applied to every person appointed to central civil service and every civilian in defense service

Leave

• Earned leave can be combined with casual leave

Disciplinary Cases

• The procedure to be followed in disciplinary cases against government servants is laid down in detail in CCS (CCA) 1965

CCS (CCA) Rule

• CCS (CCA) stands for Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal)
• It lays down the procedure to be followed in disciplinary cases against government servants

CGHS Facility

• To avail CGHS facility for disabled dependent, the disability certificate issued by the appropriate authority must be produced and submitted once in 5 years
• A dependent with 40% or more disability is considered for permanent CGHS facility
• The income limit for dependent of government servant to be included in CGHS facility is Rs. 9000/month

Medication

• A NHS/CMO in-charge of health clinic/dispensary is permitted to issue prescription medication for a maximum of 3 months at a time to CGHS beneficiary in case of chronic illness needing medication for lifetime

Children's Education Allowance

• Children's education allowance will be given up to class 10
• The maximum age limit for children's of government employee to avail children education allowance is 20 years
