- The objective is to effectively mitigate a fire in a structure as the Captain of an engine company.
Pre-Arrival and Turnout
- The Captain must turnout and enroute in 80 seconds or less, referencing PSF 15.
- Evaluate dispatch information and provide in-cab information and direction to the crew.
- Develop a conceptual incident action plan during pre-arrival.
Size-up and Initial Radio Report
- Identify the unit(s) responding, describe what is seen, and establish command upon arrival.
- Provide an action plan and let incoming units know what is needed.
