Uniform Wear and Importance

Minimum Uniform Requirements

• Minimum Corporate-style uniform is the Aviator Shirt Uniform, suitable for cadets aged 18 and older who meet specific weight standards.

Purpose of Dress Uniforms

Corporate-Style Uniform Limitations

• Cadets over 18 not meeting weight standards for USAF uniforms can wear all Corporate-style combinations, except the Corporate Working Uniform.

Service Uniforms

• Everyday uniform intended for CAP business; appropriate combinations depend on the commander's directives and event types.

Working Uniform Purpose

• Intended for flying, field, or mission environments, often worn interchangeably with USAF Class B or Corporate Aviator Shirt Uniforms.

Authorized Vendor for CAP Insignia

• Vanguard is the authorized vendor for all CAP insignia.

Hat Regulations

• Hats may be worn in accordance with regulations during certain settings and ceremonies, as permitted by local commanders.

Terminology in CAPM 39-1

Definitions of Personnel

• "Officers/NCOs" refers to adult members.

• "Adult" refers to CAP members over 18 not part of the Cadet Corps.
