- No articles can be exposed while in uniform.
- Modifications to cadets' uniforms can only be approved by the Naval Science Instructor.
- The uniform designated for a specific day by the Senior Naval Science Instructor is called the "Uniform of the Day."
Hair Regulations
- Female hair must not touch the collar.
- Female hair ornaments such as conspicuous bands, combs, and pins are not authorized; barrettes must match hair color.
- Female earrings/studs must be a small gold or silver ball placed one per ear, centered on the earlobe.
- Male sideburns must be neatly trimmed, not extending below the middle of the ear.
Jewelry and Accessories
- Necklaces are authorized but must not be visible.
- For color guard, the chinstrap of the combination cap for chiefs and enlisted personnel must be black.
Orders to a Sentry
- The Order to a Sentry includes 11 key directives, covering responsibilities such as:
- Maintaining military alertness and observation (2nd).
- Reporting violations of enforced orders (3rd).
- Saluting all officers and colors (10th).
- Challenging individuals near the post (11th).
- Proper conduct includes obeying orders from key officials and quitting the post only when properly relieved.
Guidon Regulations
- The lower part of an 8-foot staff (pike) is called the lower ferrule, while the top is known as the spear head, and the middle is referred to as the staff connector.
