Study Notes
Cadastral Maps (CM)
- Cadastral maps should measure 54 x 54 centimeters with marginal lines at 50 x 50 centimeters.
- Key details displayed include the names of claimants, concrete monument numbers, and lot corner descriptions.
- Lot numbers must be shown in consecutive order wherever possible.
Adjoining Claims
- Names of claimants adjacent to project boundaries should be indicated.
- Lines between adjoining claims are represented with dashed lines.
- Uns surveyed parcels are numbered consecutively from 1, prefixed with "A" (e.g., A-1, A-2).
Relationship to Previous Surveys
- Indication of relationship to any previously patented or surveyed areas is essential.
- If a cadastral lot matches an approved survey, both numbers must be displayed.
- For subdivided previous surveys, the map includes the phrase “Portion of Lot ______ Survey No.________ L.R.C. Case No._______.”
- Rejection of former surveys due to new boundaries results in notation “Resurveyed, Lot _______ Survey No.________.”
Land Registration Case
- All previously registered lots, or those with applications pending, must note the Land Registration Case (L.R.C.) number.
Natural Features and Boundaries
- Local names of natural features (e.g., mountains, bodies of water) need accurate spelling and representation.
- Barangay names and their respective boundaries must be marked on the map.
Control Stations
- Control stations are plotted using coordinates with side shots taken from these stations.
Progress Map
- An updated progress map must be submitted quarterly to the LMS via the Chief, Regional Surveys Division.
- Each progress map should include a location plan that shows approximate distance from municipal centers.
Scale and Details
- Progress maps must be at a scale allowing the entire municipality to fit on 104 x 104 centimeters with marginal lines at 100 x 100 centimeters.
- Additional information for progress maps includes forest land, marshy land, haciendas, parks, and protected areas.
Monthly Progress Reporting
- A table summarizing work accomplished each month is required on the progress map.
- Monthly activities like sketching, monument setting, and lot survey should be represented through miniature sketches.
