Ethics and Social Responsibility

• Ethics refers to a system of moral principles or rules of conduct relating to human behavior.
• Honesty refers to truthfulness, sincerity, or frankness.
• Unethical refers to lacking moral principles.

Action Plan

• An action plan must have S.M.A.R.T. goals:
  • Specific: Clearly defined goals.
  • Measurable: Quantifiable elements to measure progress.
  • Attainable: Realistically achievable within the given timeframe and resources.
  • Results-oriented: Goals should be written beginning with the word "To" followed by result-oriented verbs.
  • Timely: Goals must specify the target date or deadline for completion.

Effective Action Plan

• Identify the parts and contents of an action plan:
  • Objectives (List of Goals)
  • Tasks (Actionable Items)
  • Success Criteria (What you need to do to achieve the goal)
  • Time Frame (by when you need to complete the tasks)
  • Resources (what or who can help you complete the tasks)

Implementing an Action Plan

• Implementing an action plan means executing the plan and following the steps according to the timeline.
• It involves measuring success and identifying the criteria for achieving the goals.

Example of an Action Plan

• Objective: Increase the number of employees from 30 to 40 employees at the end of January 2021.
• Tasks: Make a poster for the job opening, conduct interviews with applicants, and train qualified applicants.
• Success Criteria: Number of contracts signed by January 2021.
• Time Frame: End of January 2021.
• Resources: Human Resource Department.
