Burglar Alarm Response Procedures: Normal Business Hours

The Security Team Member is responsible for determining the location of the alarm on the local alarm system.

Alarm passholders will directly inform the Security Team Member about the alarm activation.

In case the alarm point and location are unknown, the Security Officer should refer to a map and alarm description in the work instructions to determine the specific alarm location.

The Security Team Member is not required to visually verify if there is an intruder via video surveillance.

ALICE protocols should be deployed if a suspicious activity is observed during a burglar alarm response.

The Associate Security Supervisor is responsible for checking the type, location, and quantity of alarms activated during facility shut down periods.

A single interior motion alarm with no other activations requires immediate response from the Local Law Enforcement Agency.

Upon arrival at the facility during a shut down period, the team should visually check the perimeter of the building for any apparent breach or activity.

If there is any intrusion or attempted intrusion during a shut down period, only the Corporate Security needs to be notified as soon as possible.

To bypass an active alarm zone, Security Team Members should enter their 3 digit access code first.
