• Second activity is to discuss how you fit in
• Questions to consider in the second activity:
  • Do you have a sense of where you want to be in the future?
  • Do you want to be a manager?
  • Do you have an industry in mind?

Module Focus

• Identifying approaches to management
• Learning how to identify when they are effective or ineffective
• Developing theories of effectiveness or ineffectiveness causes
• Decide how you fit in, helping you to think where you want to work, or how you want to manage

• Students must be able to find:
  • The module handbook
  • The assignment briefs
  • The study units
  • The reading list
• Updates and reminders on key information will be given via Moodle and email
• Lectures provide with the basics of a topic to guide readings
• Workshop activities to support learning include active activities, discussion & debate, and journal article analysis
• Discussing learning preferences helps tailor research and learning feedback
• Assignments and discussion of Academic Skills will follow next week
